Schmitt Technical Services, Inc. (STS) is the experienced, practical and responsive alternative for specialized geological and construction materials consulting and testing. We serve the civil engineering, construction, construction products and mining industries. Chemical and petrographic analysis of building materials and products, geological services and field evaluation and testing of problems and failures are our specialties.
Our experience includes a vast array of studies both in the field and in the laboratory including floor issues, coating failures, moisture problems, surface deterioration, chemical attack, quality evaluations, repair evaluations, restorations, alkali-aggregate reaction, cracking, spalling, fire damage, strength issues, durability concerns, corrosion, and many, many other unique cases. We have done a wide variety of product development work, contract research, and quality control planning, testing and implementation.
